Guy Selleck
Born a rural farm kid in Indiana, Guy began working at a very young age. It was soon after Guy started walking… seriously! Guy has always been an entrepreneur and a problem solver, preferring to learn outside the classroom and always curious how the world works around him. Hoping to be a farmer, he attended college in Iowa and upon graduation began managing a large swine farm in Indiana. Guy quickly realized borrowing money at the interest rates of the mid 80’s, to start his own farm was not feasible, and since he was already at the top of his farming career in farm management, Guy chose to leave the Midwest to serve his country in the USAF.
During his time in the active-duty Air Force, he served in several deployments, the most notable being Desert Storm. Soon after returning from Desert Storm, Guy was offered employment in the civilian world that was hard to pass up. He entered the Active Reserves of the United States AirForce where he held a “Top Secret” security clearance and served three tours around the globe with the Airlift Control Flight Unit.

For over 30 years, Guy has been working in the Building Products Industry at all levels of management and ownership. When the opportunity to start his own Wholesale Building Products Distribution business arrived, he ran with it. As a lifetime entrepreneur this is what Guy was meant to do from the time he was a child. With just an office based in Anaheim, CA., two close friends who believed in him enough to coinvest, and one employee, he started BuildersMax Inc. and just a couple years later he also established G.E.M. Investment Properties, a real estate-investment company, today both are successful, fast-growing companies. BuildersMax now has 2 warehouse operations in California, shipping products on his company owned 18 wheelers to all of California, Arizona, and Nevada.
Actively Involved as the CEO, and key driving force in the two successful businesses, Guy is also involved at a community level, serving on the Board of Directors for the Lake Elsinore Valley Chamber of Commerce
